Question 1

What is MMS Art Studio?

Accepted Answer

MMS Art Studio is an online music school and community founded by Muller Music School in Seattle. Students take live one-on-one music lessons with verified professional instructors in our HD virtual classroom, and musicians worldwide connect, share and perform in the Community portal.

Question 2

How do online music lessons work here?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account and book a test class with the instructor you like. Lessons happen live in our browser-based virtual classroom with instrument-grade audio, a shared metronome, visual piano and tablature tools, and recordings you can bookmark and review afterwards. No software to install — a laptop, tablet or phone with a camera is enough.

Question 3

Are the instructors verified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every MMS instructor is a working professional musician or educator who has been interviewed, background-checked and reviewed by our team before they can teach on the platform. Each profile shows their disciplines, experience, languages and an introduction video so you can choose with confidence.

Question 4

How much do lessons cost?

Accepted Answer

A 60-minute test class is $50. After that, most students choose a monthly plan of weekly 60-minute lessons for $200 per month, or pay $50 per single session. Prices are in USD and billed securely through Stripe; you can pause or cancel a plan from your Student Portal at any time.

Question 5

Which instruments and subjects can I learn?

Accepted Answer

We teach 21 disciplines: piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, violin, cello, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, music theory, ear training, composition, songwriting, music production, jazz improvisation, classical performance and audition preparation.

Question 6

What equipment do I need for online lessons?

Accepted Answer

Your instrument, a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. For piano we recommend at least a 61-key keyboard; headphones improve audio quality; and if you use a DAW or audio interface you can route it straight into the classroom as a separate instrument channel.

Question 7

What is the Community portal?

Accepted Answer

The Community portal is a free social space for musicians: post reels and practice clips, join live stages and masterclasses, follow instructors, sell or buy lesson materials in the marketplace, and find collaborators across the globe. You don't have to be an enrolled student to join.

Question 8

Is there a minimum age for students?

Accepted Answer

Students must be 10 years of age or older. Teens and adults of every level are welcome — from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, recordings or college applications.
